Gilead has launched another legal case seeking an interlocutory injunction to protect a suite of HIV drugs, including blockbuster Biktarvy, from facing a generic-inspired price cut.
The pharma will go before Justice Wendy Abraham on Wednesday to face off against Alphapharm, a division of Viatris, which registered Dencovir, a generic of Gilead's HIV drug Descovy, on the ARTG in January. If Dencovir is listed it will force a statutory price reduction on not just Descovy, but three other combination drugs including Biktarvy.
