Aussie nabs global leadership role

An Aussie leader has been appointed to lead a global industry council. Professor Trent Twomey, long-time head of the Pharmacy Guild of Australia, has now been appointed president of its global counterpart, the World Pharmacy Council.
The WPC said the appointment marks a new chapter for the group as it continues to grow and champion community pharmacy's vital role and value, securing its position as a fundamental pillar of person-centred, sustainable, and resilient health systems.
