Pharma splashes $14M on meetings

Pharma companies have splashed almost $14 million on third party meeting sponsorships in Australia over six months, with four companies spending more than a million dollars each.
According to the latest data released through Medicine Australia's transparency reporting, for the six months between 1 November 2024 and 30 April 2025 pharmas sponsored 1,294 events, which were attended by a total of 476,981 healthcare professionals.
