BMS notches a first with TGA tick

The first selective tyrosine kinase 2 (TYK2) inhibitor for the treatment of active psoriatic arthritis (PsA) has been approved by the TGA, offering an additional treatment option for patients.

BMS' Sotyktu, a once-daily oral treatment has been ticked for the treatment of adults with active psoriatic arthritis who have had inadequate response to or have been intolerant to a prior disease modifying therapy (DMARD).  

"The TGA registration of Sotyktu for active psoriatic arthritis marks an important milestone, providing an additional treatment option for eligible adults living with this disease in Australia," BMS ANZ General Manager, Owen Smith, said.
