Familiar name joins Aussie pharma AI start-up
Australian AI platform arcimedes is ready to accelerate its growth after announcing an oversubscribed seed funding round and the appointment of co-founder of healthcare data analytics company Prospection, Dr Peter Cronin, as Chair of the Board.
Established by former Novartis boss Arthur Alston and his brother Alan, the platform provides specialised AI for Australian pharma, purpose-built to remove pain points from workflows. The platform helps medical affairs, regulatory affairs, market access and commercial teams complete high-value work faster, and remain compliant, based on a continually updated knowledge graph of Australian pharmaceutical and regulatory information.
Arthur Alston said he got the idea after 20 years of working in medical affairs, during which every important decision ultimately came back to one question: Is this compliant?
