Introducing the new King of the PBS

There's a new King of the PBS after a wide-reaching shake-up of Australia's top earning drugs sparked by strong growth for some and sharp falls and loss of exclusivity for others.

Sanofi's Dupixent has been crowned to No.1 earning the most in pre-rebate R/PBS reimbursements for the first six months of 2026, according to a Pharma in Focus analysis of Services Australia data of services processed by the department.

Dupixent has seen strong growth for a few years now after almost being delisted in 2024 before Sanofi and the Federal Government reached an agreement to increase the financial caps in the risk sharing agreement.
