Med affairs, the time is now

A cross-disciplinary team have issued a call to action to fundamentally change the way Medical Affairs reaches healthcare professionals. 

The paper Embracing Digital as a Paradigm Shift in Medical Affairs was published in Pharmaceutical Medicine last month, co-authored by med affairs professionals, academics, HCP engagement consultants and HCPs. It aims to improve patient care through high quality scientific exchange, providing five clear steps on the path to that end.

"One of my frustrations in the office... is that we always hear the same thing: that we're working in silos. We need to stop speaking about 'we're working in silos' and do something about it," Belgium-based Biond Health founder, Yacin Marzouki, told Pharma in Focus during a conference call with the authors.
