Doctors turn up the heat on pharma

Australian doctors are exerting pressure on pharma to improve access to medicines, an added burden as the industry grapples with a failing HTA system and a Government dragging its feet on reform.

The AusDoc BIG Doctor Survey of 1430 GPs has delivered a clear message about where pharma can make the greatest impact.

"For pharmaceutical companies, helping to improve access to medicines may represent one of the most meaningful ways to create value for both doctors and patients," the AusDoc report said.
