Patients are missing out on a “gamechanger” cancer treatment because health systems can’t accurately assess its cost-effectiveness, a study has found.
Researchers from the University of Queensland set out to review the value for money of theranostic nuclear medicine, which combines diagnostic imaging and targeted radiopharmaceutical therapy to deliver precise, personalised cancer care with generally low toxicity.
