Excessive delays in funding access to innovative medicines is hampering Australia's productivity growth, but that's just the quantitative figure that describes a strong impact on the lives of very real people.
Late last year Community and Patient Preference Research (CaPPRe), on behalf of The Medicines Australia (MA) Oncology Industry Taskforce (OIT), interviewed fourteen people with direct experience of cancer care in Australia to explore how productivity is experienced in real life. The results were summarised in the report The Real Value of Innovative Cancer Treatments: The Impact of Timely Access on Productivity and the Lives of Australians.
