Some of Novo Nordisk’s biggest secrets appear to be for sale on the Dark Web after the Danish pharma giant refused to pay US$75 million (A$105 million) to hackers.
A well-known cyber extortion group, FulcrumSec, alleged it had spent more than two months in Novo’s networks stealing about 1.3 terabytes of data, including at least 30 AI models, the manufacturing processes for drugs including Wegovy and Ozempic, data relating to hundreds of thousands of employees, doctors and patients, and details of pipeline programs.
