Drug shortage blows out into 2027
Posted 16 June 2026 PM
A shortage of Viatris's PBS-listed pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy Creon will continue until into next year.
"Viatris has notified us that supply constraints affecting Creon 25,000-unit and Creon 35,000-unit capsules will continue until 31 January 2027 due to an unexpected global increase in demand," the TGA announced last week.
