Three new drugs have hit the ARTG, all targeting rare diseases and two affecting RNA.
Otsuka's Zirdawny has been approved for routine prevention of recurrent attacks of hereditary angioedema (HAE) in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older, and is an RNA-targeted medicine designed to target plasma prekallikrein (PKK), which plays an important role in activating inflammatory mediators associated with acute attacks of HAE.
