Leading your company to a market cap of a trillion-dollars comes with its rewards, as Eli Lilly CEO David Ricks has discovered after pocketing a cool $51 million pay packet last year.

During his nine years at the top, Ricks has led the company to impressive revenue growth of 207 per cent.
