Roche isn't holding back in the race to build powerful AI factories to accelerate drug discovery and development, expanding its deal with Nvidia to give it the largest networked computing power in the industry.
The Swiss pharma is deploying 2,176 high-performance GPUs on premises across the US and Europe across the entire value chain, aimed at accelerating diagnostics and therapeutics. Roche said this brings its combined on-premise and cloud GPU infrastructure to more than 3,500 Blackwell GPUs, which is the greatest announced GPU footprint available to a pharmaceutical company.
