Novartis trailblazes private scripts

Pharmaceutical companies have another, more direct path to supply non-PBS medicines to hospitals in Australia, simplifying a complex endeavour.
Akesa launched the digital ordering platform, Aksys, to simplify access to medicines on private script for Australian patients in hospital settings. The proportion of private scripts is rising in Australia, and is estimated to account for around 15 per cent of the retail prescription market, with the expectation of a similar estimate in hospital settings.
