Influencers promoting prescription drugs such as Novo Nordisk's Ozempic and AbbVie's Botox have been put on notice by the TGA with warnings of multimillion-dollar penalties - even jail.
“The TGA is addressing the increase in unlawful advertising on social media, in which businesses, health services and social media influencers are promoting prescription-only medicines such as Ozempic and cosmetic injectables, including Botox,” the regulator said.
