Rising star wins top research prize

A researcher who has paved the way for more personalised treatments for brain conditions such as Parkinson's and ADHD has won the Association of Australian Medical Research Institutes (AAMRI) Rising Star Award, sponsored by CSL.

Dr Luis García-Marín is currently a Research Officer at QIMR Berghofer's Computational Neurogenomics Lab, and during his PhD at the University of Queensland he led the world's largest study combining brain scans and genetic data, analysing 74,898 people across 19 countries.
