Novo walks away from cell therapy

Novo Nordisk is pulling out of research into cell therapies, including a potential cure for type 1 diabetes, as part of the ongoing restructuring under new CEO Mike Doustdar.
Almost all 250 staff working in Novo’s cell therapy division would be laid off, said Danish newspaper Borsen, which broke the story.
