A shortage of both strengths of Pfizer’s PBS-listed Bicillin L-A prefilled syringes for injection has been extended to the end of November 2025.
Pfizer informed the TGA that both strengths would continue to be in shortage due to manufacturing issues. Supply had resumed for the higher strength, 1.2 million-unit syringe, but remained limited, with the sponsor working with wholesalers to support fair distribution of available supplies, the TGA said.
