One of industry's most high-profile CEO's - and the first woman to lead a Big Pharma - GSK's Emma Walmsley is stepping down, to be replaced by her Australian Chief Commercial Officer, Luke Miels.
Miels, who started his career in Australia at AstraZeneca before moving to Sanofi where he was acting General Manager and Managing Director New Zealand, has been appointed CEO Designate and will assume full responsibilities as CEO and join the Board from 1 January next year.
