Pharma comes last in ethics score

The pharmaceutical industry in Australia has jumped three points on the Governance Institute's 2025 Ethics Index but remains at the bottom of the list of healthcare organisations.
All other healthcare organisations did better than pharma with pathology services in number one spot on 65 followed by public hospitals (58), private hospitals (40), natural health companies (20), aged care providers (18) and health funds (8). Pharma scored a total of 4, up three points from last year when it ranked 1.
