TGA crackdown nears $1M in fines

Since the start of 2024 the TGA has issued at total of $974,364 in fines for the alleged unlawful advertising of medicinal cannabis with 16 infringement notices sent to companies and three sent to individuals.

As part of the crackdown, the TGA has issued six infringement notices totalling $118,000 and a direction notice for the alleged unlawful advertising of a medicinal product
