Children with growth hormone deficiency will soon have a new treatment option that allows weekly injections rather than daily.
The TGA has approved Specialised Therapeutics' hormone therapy Skytrofa for children with growth hormone deficiency. While there are growth hormones subsidised by the PBS, including Merck's Saizen and Pfizer's Genotropin, they all require daily or near daily subcutaneous injections.
