Viatris’ non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) Celebrex Relief has become the first and only treatment of its kind available in Australia for short-term acute pain relief without a prescription.
It follows the TGA’s final decision to down schedule oral celecoxib 200 mg, in a pack of 10 units, for short-term treatment of acute pain in adults with muscle and joint injuries or with period pain to a pharmacist-only Schedule 3 medicine on 1 February.
