Trump axes $1.1B pharma deal

In a bitter blow for Moderna the Trump administration has axed US$766 million (AU$1.1 billion) worth of government funding for the late-stage development of pre-pandemic influenza vaccines.

The company revealed funding had been withdrawn in an announcement about positive interim results for its bird flu vaccine.
