Additional PBS listed ADHD drugs containing methylphenidate hydrochloride have joined Australia’s medicines shortage list as manufacturing issues continue to cause supply issues in multiple countries.
There is now a shortage of three strengths (10mg, 40mg, and 60mg) of Novartis’ Ritalin LA with the 20mg dose and 30 mg dose of the medicine anticipated to be impacted from mid-June, according to the TGA’s medicine shortage reports database.
