Australia is bracing for the fallout from an announcement by US President Donald Trump to reduce drug prices in the US by up to 90 per cent, but the policy is so light on detail no one can predict what it means.
Trump will use his resurrected Most Favoured Nation policy - a form of international price referencing - to tie what the US Government pays for drugs to the lowest prices paid by other economically advanced countries.
