Analysis of on-demand medical education views by Australian GPs has shown a spike in consumption occurs between 8-9pm but has blown apart the notion that most doctors restrict their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to after-hours, with 60 per cent engaging betwen 8am-6pm.
Praxhub, a digital platform which delivers CPD education to a national and international audience of HCPs, analysed 5000 recent views of educational content by Australian doctors and found after 9pm engagement falls away sharply. It contradicts the popularly held belief that doctors are undertaking CPD at night, so as not to disrupt daytime, billable hours.
