TGA first to add new mRNA jab AE

Australia has become the first country in the world to add mastitis and breast swelling as potential adverse events to the Product Information (PI) of Covid mRNA vaccines.

Mastitis (including breast swelling) was identified as a signal through the TGA's routine safety monitoring activities and warranted further investigation into Covid vaccines, according to a TGA spokesperson.
