Richard Vines to step down

After leading the organisation for over a decade, co-founder of Rare Cancers Australia (RCA) Richard Vines will step down from his role as Chief Executive at the end of 2023.

Vines and his wife Kate, who retired last year, established the powerhouse patient group in 2012, to provide support to patients with rare and less common cancers across Australia after being thrust into their own journey with questions that nobody seemed to have the answers to.
