Govt weighs lung cancer screening

Australia is one step closer to improving the survival outcomes of people diagnosed with lung cancer, which currently has the lowest survival rate of all the common cancers.

The Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC) has provided advice to Health Minister Mark Butler recommending the creation of a national lung cancer screening program. This comes after deferring its decision in July.
