Amgen given Nov PBS boost

The only PCSK-9 inhibitor listed on the PBS will have its reimbursed use expanded from next Thursday.
Health Minister Greg Hunt has announced that Repatha, Amgen's cholesterol-lowering biological, will be available to over 6000 new patients as a result of its extension to heterozygous as well as homozygous familial hypercholesterolaemia (HoFH) from November 1.
