Medicine moves to OTC to ease access issues

A previously prescription-only medicine has been launched in an over-the-counter version as CSL Seqirus works to keep the product growing.

The new brand of Seqirus' combination antihistamine and steroid nasal spray Ryaltris, dubbed Ryaltris Allergy, is now being sold over the counter in pharmacies after being listed on the ARTG as a pharmacy medicine in May.

"Hay fever affects millions of Australians every year, yet this research suggests many continue putting up with symptoms that affect their everyday lives," CSL Seqirus APAC Head of Medical Affairs, Claire Morgan, said.
