Next stop Australia for 'oncology cornerstone'?
Sanofi’s subcutaneous version of multiple myeloma drug Sarclisa could be headed to Australia after the French pharma scored its biggest approval to date.
The new formulation, approved by the FDA under the brand name Sarclisa Escena this month, marks the first anticancer treatment to be administered manually or by an on-body injector (OBI) in the US. It has previously been approved in the EU and in the UK, where the new formulation is known as Sarclisa SC.
“In Australia, we are evaluating various options related to Sarclisa (isatuximab) subcutaneous (SC),” a Sanofi spokesperson said.
