Pharma expands offering in hotly contested space

GSK has registered a new presentation of Arexvy as it seeks to make the RSV vaccine available for a younger cohort.

The TGA has approved Arexvy in powder vial and suspension prefilled syringe for injection under the same indications as the existing powder vial and suspension vial for injection.

Arexvy is currently approved for the active immunisation for the prevention of lower respiratory tract disease caused by RSV in adults 60 years of age and older plus adults 50 through 59 years of age who are at increased risk for RSV disease.
