Johnson & Johnson pulls another drug
Johnson & Johnson is pulling its long-standing blood cancer drug Velcade from the Australian market, with all strengths already removed from the PBS.
The 3.5mg strength was discontinued in Australia on 30 June 2025 while the remaining 1mg and 3mg strength will be discontinued on 30 September 2026.
“We are discontinuing Velcade (bortezomib) 1mg and 3mg, effective in Australia 30 September 2026,” a J&J spokesperson said.
