The UK marketing watchdog has reprimanded Sanofi and warned it may face further sanctions for “very serious breaches” of its code of practice, related to disparaging claims made about Pfizer’s respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) vaccine Abrysvo and the UK’s immunisation program.
The Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority (PMCPA) issued its rulings this month on two cases that it had investigated following complaints by Pfizer in August 2025. The first case covered articles in the Sunday Express newspaper and Health Service Journal (HSJ) and two social media posts made by Sanofi employees.
