After a gruelling four-and-half-year wait, Oncobeta Therapeutics has finally secured MSAC’s support for listing its Rhenium Skin Cancer Therapy (Rhenium-SCT) on the MBS for the treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC).
The main component of the German-headquartered medical device and radiopharmaceutical company’s Rhenium-SCT is a radioactive paste (Rhenium-188 compound) which is applied over a protective foil over the tumour.
