MSAC has partially supported Novo Nordisk’s Alhemo giving the haemophilia B prophylactic the nod for a small population, subject to the Danish drugmaker cutting its price and agreeing to a capped patient population.
The decision comes just days after the committee knocked back Pfizer’s Hympavzi for the treatment of people aged 12 years or over with severe haemophilia A or haemophilia B, without inhibitors, after being unable to discern if the therapy was “good value for money”.
