Troubled drug faces revocation

CSL's Tavneos looks set to be withdrawn from European distribution, after regulators there changed their minds about the decision to recommend the drug.

The European Medicines Agency's (EMA) Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use (CHMP) has recommended the revocation of the EU marketing authorisation for CSL's auto-immune drug, Tavneos. With the opinion provided, the final decision is up to the European Commission and is expected shortly.
