Locals nab half-a-billion-dollar deal

Melbourne-based Dimerix has signed a licensing deal worth up to $481 million, extending the potential market for its flagship product across half the globe.

Chinese pharma Everest Medicines licensed exclusive rights to commercialise DMX-200, a small molecule inhibitor of the chemokine receptor 2 known as Qytovra in some markets, for the treatment of focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) in Greater China, South Korea and Southeast Asia, where 500,000 to one million people are estimated to live with FSGS.
