GSK has agreed to pay AU$15.09 billion (US$10.6 billion) to buy out US biopharma Nuvalent and in the process acquire two late-stage assets that will help it challenge Pfizer and Roche in the lung cancer space.
“Today’s acquisition is a multi-product deal, consistent with our approach to acquire assets that have clinically proven targets and meaningfully address an efficacy and/or tolerability gap,” GSK CEO, Australian Luke Miels said.
