Next-gen drug beats expectations

There were sky-high expectations for Eli Lilly's triple-agonist obesity drug, but the latest results have surpassed them and given the pharma ammunition in its late-stage pipeline to dominate the obesity market.

Participants in the TRIUMPH-1 trial who were taking 12mg of retatrutide weekly as a subcutaneous injection lost an average of 28.3 per cent of their body weight over 80 weeks, and 45.3 per cent of participants achieved more than 30 per cent weight loss.
