'Next big thing' wins TGA tick

The TGA has approved Sanofi’s anti-CD3 monoclonal antibody Tzield for type 1 diabetes and BTK inhibitor Cenrifki for multiple sclerosis.

Tzield was among 15 drugs named ‘the next big thing’ in Clarivate’s 2023 Drugs to Watch report. Sanofi added the drug to its pipeline through its US$2.9 billion acquisition of Provention Bio in the same year.
