Roundtable to overhaul trial access

A “consortium of the willing” will meet in July to improve the design and delivery of oncology clinical trials for Australian patients.
“Only between five and six per cent of patients with cancer in Australia go on to a clinical trial, despite the fact that, regardless of what drug you end up on, the outcomes of being on a clinical trial are so much higher than not,” Edge Medical Solutions Medical Director Matt Britland said.
