Vax slide a drag on productivity

Pfizer has used a pre-budget submission to call on the federal government to improve vaccination uptake through increased investment in preventative health, warning that declining vaccination rates and slipping confidence in immunisation are leaving communities vulnerable as Australia heads into winter.

Known for its pneumococcal vaccine Prevenar, Covid vaccine Comirnaty, and RSV vaccine Abrysvo, Pfizer says World Immunisation Week, which runs from 24 to 30 April, provides a clear reminder that immunisation is a long-term investment in national resilience.
