The pharmaceutical industry has again shown itself to be a welcoming place for women, with the latest report from the Workplace Gender Equality Agency revealing companies in the industry tend to have a much lower gender wage gap than the national norm.
The average pay gap of companies in the Human Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Product Manufacturing sector was 9.9 per cent, while the average for those companies in the Pharmaceutical and Toiletry Goods Wholesaling sector was 14.2 per cent. Across the nation, the average wage gap for a company was 11.2 per cent.
