A new report has underlined the urgent need to address the ovarian cancer burden in Australia which is inflicting a heavy toll on patients, families, communities and the economy.
With no early detection test available, two-thirds of women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer at an advanced stage. By this point, treatment is more challenging, and chances of survival are drastically reduced. Fewer than half of women diagnosed with the disease survive beyond five years
