Metsera picks final dance partner

A chaotic week of one-upmanship and legal challenges saw Pfizer win the bidding war for obesity biotech Metsera, with an increased offer getting a push over the line with the help of a phone call from regulators.
When Novo swooped in with a surprise bid for Metsera, Pfizer launched legal action to prevent the biotech backing out of the deal the two had signed in September, but its request for a temporary restraining order was rejected by the Delaware Chancery Court.
